Ngalawa Pre & Primary School

"The Home Where Love of Learning Grows"

Founded in 2015 with just 17 pupils and 3 classrooms, Ngalawa Academy School has grown into a thriving community serving 230 children guided by the motto “Elimu ni ufunguo wa maisha” (“Education is the key to life”). Supported by 12 qualified teachers and 4 support staff, the school focuses on empowering the next generation from all backgrounds—including low-income families—to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive toward a sustainable future.

The campus blends a warm, community-focused environment with essential modern facilities, featuring 7 spacious classrooms, a fully equipped kitchen providing healthy daily meals, clean lavatories, safe student transport, sports areas, and green spaces dedicated to environmental conservation. Since its first graduating class in 2020, 149 pupils have successfully completed primary education with strong Grade A and B results, building a solid reputation in academics, sports, culture, and leadership.

Looking ahead, Ngalawa Academy aims to expand its educational journey into secondary schooling by developing comprehensive modern infrastructure. Key future priorities include adding 8 primary classrooms, 3 nursery classes, staff offices, administration blocks for both primary and secondary levels, a minor health facility, lavatories, and a sports playground. Additionally, the school plans to construct dedicated dormitories for boys and girls and acquire a brand-new school bus budgeted at 150 million Tanzanian Shillings.
